The Port Adelaide Historical Society has been working to preserve and protect the history of Port Adelaide and environs area since 1972.

Our collections consist of framed pictures, photographs, maps, books, artefacts, printed ephemera and maritime memorabilia dating back to the 19th century.  The collections are housed in our Museum at Peterhead and recorded in stone in the Portonian Walk.

The Portonian magazine, has been published quarterly and has become a valuable source of Port Adelaide history for historians and researchers.

Our Museum located at 95 Fletcher Road Peterhead, and we welcome visitors every Sunday from 2:00-4.00pm and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.00am-1.00pm.

The Society Museum is located at 95 Fletcher Road Peterhead 5016.

Entry fee is $5.00. Children attending with an adult are free of charge.

We welcome visitors every Sunday from 2:00-4.00pm and on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10.00am-1.00pm
