Burra branch of the National Trust of South Australia cares and preserves a number of historic buildings, including three museums in the Burra township: Bon Accord Cottage; Bon Accord Mining Museum; Burra Police Lockup and Stables; Malowen Lowarth Cottage; Miner’s Dugouts; Market Square Museum; Morphett’s Enginehouse Museum; Peacock’s Chimney Stack and Redruth Gaol.

These sites can be explored using the Burra Heritage Passport and Key available from the Burra Visitor Information Centre, allowing visitors an 11km self-guided tour of the town, showcasing Burra’s copper and mining history.
