    The Lutheran Archives is the official repository of historical material relating to the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA). It holds records of the present LCA, as well as records of the earlier Lutheran synods in Australia which in time amalgamated to form the present LCA.

The Lutheran Archives is the official repository of historical material relating to the Lutheran Church of Australia (LCA). It holds records of the present LCA, as well as records of the earlier Lutheran synods in Australia which in time amalgamated to form the present LCA.  Collections include national and district synods, biographical, congregational, AV and photographic, rare books and reference collections, and schools.  The Lutheran Church of New Zealand collection is also held at Lutheran Archives.

Items from the collection are available for viewing, with some restrictions in place due to privacy and other cultural or personal sensitivities.

Open Tuesday to Thursday 9.30am-3.30pm. Please call us to book an appointment for research or accessing the archive.
Closed Mondays and Fridays, weekends and public holidays.

There is no research fee for Lutheran Archives, though donations to help resource our work are always appreciated. Please contact us for digitisation, transcription and other fees.
