    A community volunteer run museum about how the people of the Meningie district lived and prospered, housed in a former cheese factory on the shores of Lake Albert.

A community volunteer run museum about how the people of the Meningie district lived and prospered. It is housed in part of the former restored premises of the Lakeside Dairying Company, on the shores of Lake Albert.  The other half of the building is a restaurant.

The museum’s mission is to preserve the history of the people of Meningie and Districts for the benefit of the community and the generations to come.

The museum was officially launched on 1 January 2001 as part of the national Centenary of Federation events.
