• Mount Lofty Districts Historical Society

The Mount Lofty Districts Historical Society has its own Local & Garden History Centre inside the award-winning Coventry Library in Stirling, providing a wealth of information about the history of the area. Volunteers are available to assist people with inquiries in afternoons when the Library is open and also run a public program of events throughout the year.

Our Aim: “Uncover, preserve and publish the history of the Mount Lofty Districts.”

The public area and displays at the Mount Lofty Districts Local and Garden History Centre provide a wealth of freely available information on the history of the area, which is accessible whenever the Coventry Library is open.

You will also find one of our volunteers in the History Centre every day the Library is open, between 2pm and 4pm. They can introduce you to the collection, help access material from the Society archives, and provide basic research advice.

Archives Open: Tuesday-Sunday 2-4pm
Displays: Tuesday-Sunday during Library hours
