The museum opened in 1975 as the Renmark/Paringa/Cal lal Historical and Preservation Society but in later years was known as the Paringa Motor Museum. Today it is the Renmark/Paringa Community Museum.
We have over 50 stationary engines on display; all are in full working order. We also have a large collection of farm machinery and implements. The museum is slowly being restored by the Renmark/Paringa Museum Community Group who are endeavouring to make the museum accessible to everyone in the community to share in some local history whilst enjoying a BBQ or picnic on the two and half hectares that the museum occupies. We are on the banks of the mighty Murray River and next to the historic Paringa lifting bridge.
