This organisation cares for the Laura Archives which are housed in the historic former Masonic Lodge on Hughes Street, and holds resources for Laura, Stone Hut and Beetaloo, including microfilm of the Laura Standard newspaper and microfiche of many important community organizations.
Significant projects in which the RRHAS is involved include:
- Cemetery mapping and research
- Promotion of Laura as the boyhood town of CJ Dennis (Australian poet of The Sentimental Bloke fame)
- On-going maintenance of the two historic buildings.
