South Australian Police Historical Society is based at the historic Thebarton Police Barracks in Gaol Road, Adelaide. The society records and maintains the history and artifacts of the South Australian Police from 1838 depicted in document, photographic and artifact form, including uniforms and badges.
We produce a quarterly newsletter and have five museum galleries, including vehicles caps, badges, crime scene, photographs. We also cater for tours through our museum and Thebarton Police barracks by prior arrangement only. We can also provide presentations to community and school groups as well as provide volunteers in police uniform and with historic police vehicles for significant events.
