The South Australian Whale Centre is located in an over 150 year old heritage listed former railway goods shed. This interpretative centre dedicated to whale history and conservation features three floors of exciting interactive displays.

You will experience a variety of unique and one of a kind murals, the Fisheye 3D theatrette (included in admission price), whaling artefacts and a Kids zone.

One can also see the only MV Steve Irwin exhibit in the world presented by Sea Shepherd Australia in partnership with the SA Whale Centre. The interactive exhibit about Sea Shepherd’s flagship vessel resides in the basement in the centre’s Cellar of Secrets.

The South Australian Whale Centre also offers a unique range of education programs and tours in a unique marine environment.
