The History Room in the old Masonic Lodge dating from 1923, houses much of Spalding’s history – clubs and group’s past records including minute books, primary school records, community and family photographs, newspaper clippings, and a complete collection of the local Spalding Newsletter ‘The Scribe’, 1984-present’ and much more.
The Spalding cemetery is 4 km north east of the town and the Spalding Cemetery Records are held at Northern Areas Council, Jamestown SA 5491.
Local publications include From where the Broughton flows: a history of the Spalding district by Maurice B Keain, published at the request of the District Council of Spalding in 1976.
The group meets first Monday of the month at the History Room.
